About the Role:
Shyft is an early-stage global health tech platform. We combine lifestyle management solutions (Nutrition, Yoga, Exercise, and more) with technology to help our customers track, reverse and manage chronic health conditions. We are looking for a talented Front-End Engineer specializing in React Native to join our team for a 3-month internship. As a Front-End Engineer, you will be instrumental in building complex user interfaces for our health and wellness applications, translating Figma designs into clean, scalable React Native code.
Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality, responsive user interfaces for mobile applications using React Native.
- Collaborate closely with designers to translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, interactive UI components.
- Implement complex UI features and animations to enhance user experience and engagement.
- Optimize application performance for mobile devices, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
- Work closely with backend engineers to integrate front-end components with backend services (RESTful APIs).
- Conduct code reviews, maintain coding standards, and ensure code quality and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure a seamless user experience across different devices.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in mobile UI/UX design and development.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in React Native and JavaScript, with a strong understanding of mobile app development.
- Experience in building complex user interfaces and interactive components using React Native.
- Strong knowledge of mobile UI/UX principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux or Context API.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git for collaborative development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in UI implementation.
