Pinkvilla is looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual who can write entertaining and compelling content for its US pop culture vertical. The selected candidate will be a part of a diverse team that spots and executes trending news content across a variety of areas in the US pop culture arena including Hollywood, social trends, news, social media influencers including celebrities from YouTube / Twitch / Instagram or TikTok, fashion, and more! Responsibilities -
- Writing 4-5 articles per day (news and features) around the US pop culture - on topics including but not limited to Hollywood, celebrity trends, reality TV, influencers on platforms like YouTube / TikTok / Instagram / Twitch, fashion, crime, viral news, and more
- Ensuring daily and monthly article targets are met while working with the Pop Culture content team (4-5 articles per day, around 100 per month)
- Ensuring articles and information you write is properly verified, fact-checked, and submitting a strong first copy to ensure a smooth editing and publishing process
- Staying updated with the latest trends within the US entertainment industry and suggesting daily topics to write on
- Helping the management to undertake any other specific writing projects on need basis
Requirements -
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in working in news or digital media (preference will be given to candidates associated with the entertainment news industry, freshers also welcome to apply)
- Strong knowledge of US pop culture, viral content, viral news, trends, Hollywood and entertainment industry, etc.
- Knowledge of working with Google Trends and spotting viral content or breaking news / stories is a plus
- Knowledge of reality TV shows, fashion industry, and sneaker culture is a plus
- Strong English language and writing skills, ability to write quality content while meeting deadlines and production targets on a daily / weekly / monthly basis
