Our client, a Leading Global Specialist in Energy Management and Automation, is seeking an Independent MCAD Expert. This role requires in-depth expertise in product development, CAD packages, PDM, and manufacturing processes. The selected candidate will lead a major CAD conversion project, collaborating with global businesses and suppliers to ensure the successful execution of the project.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead the global CAD conversion project, involving businesses from across the globe.
Engage with business units to understand their specific needs and develop an execution plan.
Collaborate with suppliers to develop and refine the conversion automation tool, including potential travel to multiple locations in the US to adapt the tool.
Work with leadership and procurement to identify local suppliers in India and establish a project execution team.
Implement the factory mode concept in execution, designing the execution lines, assembly setup, and supervising the execution.
Provide critical inputs to procurement and other functions to assist with contract negotiations.
Set up the production line for CAD conversion and manage root cause analysis (RCA) for critical issues.
Collaborate with suppliers on technical query resolution, training, and knowledge sharing while monitoring project progress.
Contribute to project planning, technical solutions development, design architectures, and necessary coding for data extraction and uploads.
Engage stakeholders through daily or weekly governance meetings.
Provide live support and assistance on implementation projects and offer support to business teams as needed.
Skills Required
Minimum 10+ years of experience in product development, design & development, manufacturing processes, 3D model creation, and drawing creation.
Strong knowledge of technical documents, including 2D/3D drawings and models, and a background in product development.
Extensive experience in leading product development projects, including concept creation, 3D modeling, FMEA, design validation, prototype development, and manufacturing setup.
Proficient in methodologies, data gathering, specification preparation, and project planning.
Strong knowledge of PDM processes, including data uploads and extractions.
Experience in collaborating with stakeholders and vendors to develop automation tools.
Leadership skills and experience in managing teams are an added advantage.
Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Experience working in a multicultural environment.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects.
Must be proactive in developing initiatives for the team.
Additional Requirements:
Must have a valid US visa (B1/B2 or any other) for potential travel to the US for tool adaptation.
Qualification:
B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a reputed institute.
