Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Firmware Validation Engineer with 7-10 years of experience in functional and automation testing, particularly with a focus on firmware validations and Wi-Fi technology. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in networking protocols, have prior experience working in an onsite-offshore model, and be proficient in at least one automation language (preferably Python).
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform functional and automation testing for firmware across different platforms.
- Analyze dev test builds, identify testing scope, and create detailed test runs/chalk pages.
- Collaborate with developers to gain deeper insight into build content and defect details.
- Set up and maintain the testing environment for offshore deliverables.
- Ensure seamless coordination and transition between onsite and offshore teams.
- Serve as the liaison between onsite and offshore teams, ensuring smooth communication.
- Engage with developers to identify root causes (RCA) for P0/P1 defects and work on resolutions.
- Coordinate with developers for details on new features or enhancements.
- Provide status reports and updates to stakeholders by the end of each day.
Required Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience in functional and automation testing.
- Strong knowledge of Wi-Fi technology and related networking protocols.
- Experience in an onsite-offshore model, ensuring effective team collaboration.
- Proficiency in any automation language, with a preference for Python.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work closely with developers on root cause analysis and feature enhancements.
