We are looking for a skilled and experienced Fireman to join our Data Centre Maintenance & Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of our data centre facilities through effective fire prevention, maintenance, and emergency response. Fire Prevention & Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems to ensure they are fully operational and compliant with safety regulations.
- Emergency Response: Act swiftly and effectively in the event of a fire emergency, including operating fire suppression systems, evacuating personnel, and coordinating with emergency services.
Training & Drills:
Lead and participate in fire drills and safety training sessions for staff to ensure preparedness and compliance with fire safety procedures.Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of fire system inspections, maintenance activities, and incident reports. Provide detailed reports on any issues or improvements needed.Safety Compliance: Ensure all fire safety equipment and procedures meet regulatory standards and industry best practices. Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize risk.
- Coordination: Work closely with other facilities teams and management to address and resolve any fire safety concerns or system malfunctions promptly.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on the latest fire safety technologies and practices. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance fire safety measures within the data centre.
Education:
Diploma in a relevant field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in fire maintenance, or a Certificate in a relevant field with at least 5 years of experience in fire maintenance or equivalent.Experience:
Proven experience in maintaining and operating fire safety systems, with a strong understanding of fire prevention, detection, and suppression techniques.Certifications: Relevant fire safety certifications and training are highly preferred.
- Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety.
Communication:
Effective communication skills, with the ability to train and inform others about fire safety procedures and protocols.Team Player:
