Role Summary
In this newly created position in the Global Procurement and Payments organization, the Financial Viability Risk Manager will play a key role in designing the financial viability risk assessment and management for third party risk management program. This role will report to Director of Transformation, Global Procurement & Payment.
What you will do
- Assess Third Party's financial viability with a combination of external tools and responses from third parties
- Advise business in the risk escalation/acceptance process if financial viability risk is not within Sun Life's risk appetite
- Partner with Procurement, Legal and business to develop mitigation plan for financial viability risks from third parties
- Develop and maintain the financial viability risk assessment and management approach for Sun Life's Third-Party Risk Management
- Serve as main point of contact on financial viability risk across Sun Life
- Data-driven decision-making using Sun Life systems and tools (e.g. ServiceNow TPRM module, SAP Ariba, etc.)
What you need to succeed:
- University degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with Financial Viability risk assessment and management; Financial Viability risk management program design experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of the source-to-pay process and how Third-Party Risk Management is tied into Source-to-Pay process
- Willing to work flexible hours to support Sun Life organizations globally
- Strong MS Office skills - including Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred skills:
- Experience in SAP Ariba system
- Experience in using external Financial Viability Assessment tool/database
- 2-3 years of experience in data analysis and reporting/dashboarding
