Specifically, the job involves taking a prominent role in the following, as part of a Global function:
- Managing transactions, coordinating stakeholders, processes and any aspect requiring attention (e.g. credit risk, tax, regulations, etc.) in order to bring transactions to a successful close
- Performing financial, structuring and legal analysis on deals to come up with optimal solutions for clients and candi
- Preparing, reviewing, negotiating and executing legal documentation with external parties
- Implementing the corporate finance strategy of candi, with a view to optimise candi s operations in terms of tax, risk, cost of funding, regulations and other material aspects
- Participating in the development of financial models and template legal documentation
- Conceptualising new products, taking into account the changing technological and competitive landscape, and implementing such new products
- Developing a portfolio view of the group s transactions, encompassing both the uses and sources of funds (i.e. the client transactions and the funding raised)
- Working closely with Business Development, Risk, Engineering, Finance and Asset Management in order to successfully perform the above
Job Requirements:
- 3-6 years of experience in financial structuring / M&A at a financial institution, corporate or law firm
- An affinity for numbers and quantitative matters, being very comfortable with financial models
- A solid understanding of financial risks
- Experience with legal documentation - i.e. an ability to review contracts and some experience in negotiating them with third parties
- Some understanding of solar financial products under the PPA (or similar) model is a plus
- Being good at juggling multiple transactions and projects at the same time
- Being at ease with coordinating and interacting with various stakeholders (internal and external)
- A track record of thriving in a fast-paced environment and an ability to work towards and hit KPIs
- Being a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Being very comfortable working in the digital realm, using tools such as Microsoft Office / Google suite and other remote working tools
- Excellent written and spoken English required, additional languages are a plus
- A degree in finance, business, law or related qualifying experience
