The role of Financial Analyst is a seasoned professional role, responsible for gathering and analysing financial data to facilitate decision-making and provide guidance to managers within the business. This role makes financial recommendations based on the data they have gathered and analysed, which includes information regarding past company performance against set metrics and cost management.
What You'll Be Doing
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial data and trends within the IT sector to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.2. Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and budgets for various departments within the company.3. Evaluate financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and investments, and identify areas for improvement.4. Conduct variance analysis to explain deviations from budgeted and forecasted financial results.5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop pricing strategies, cost reduction initiatives, and profitability models.6. Assist in the preparation of financial presentations for board meetings, investor relations, and other stakeholders.7. Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely financial information.8. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and optimize financial processes.9. Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required by senior management. Knowledge, Skills and Attributes: 1. Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; master's degree or professional certification.2. Proven experience as a financial analyst, preferably in the IT industry or related sectors.3. Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and data analysis tools (e.g., SAP Hana, MS Office, Advanced Excel, ERP systems).4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.5. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.7. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence decision-making across various stakeholders.8. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accounting principles relevant to the IT industry.9. Continuous learning mindset with a commitment to professional development and staying abreast of industry advancements.
