Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our Corporate Strategy and Planning department as a Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting strategic initiatives, financial analysis, business planning activities, and policy formulation.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive industry research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, growth opportunities, and potential risks.
- Monitor market developments, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to provide timely insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
- Analyze competitor strengths, weaknesses, and market positioning to inform our company's strategic planning efforts.
Financial Analysis and Modeling:
- Compile and analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making processes.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models for our company as well as for other listed peers.
- Prepare financial projections based on thorough analysis of historical data, market trends, and business strategies.
Business Planning and Strategy Development:
- Evaluate new business proposals, partnerships, and investment opportunities, assessing their financial viability and alignment with corporate objectives.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario planning to assess potential risks and opportunities associated with strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust business plans, investment memorandums, and presentations for internal stakeholders and executive leadership.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations to communicate performance trends, insights, and recommendations to senior management.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and performance monitoring tools to facilitate data-driven decision-making and enhance organizational transparency.
Policy Formulation and Implementation:
- Contribute to the formulation of business policies across departments, ensuring alignment with the organization's vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
- Support the implementation of policies and procedures to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and improve overall organizational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess policy effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous enhancement of organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. MBA, CA, or CFA qualification preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in financial analysis, strategic planning, investment banking, or corporate finance roles, with exposure to equity fund raises and structured finance.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software applications.
