The Finance Shared Services Senior Manager is responsible for setting and executing the strategic and operational roadmap for the finance Shared Services functions that supports the Firm s business goals. This role oversees Shared Services operational activities in the areas of Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Data Maintenance and ERP system administration. This is a new role and initial responsibility focuses on implementing the firm s US strategy on billing and revenue functions in India. This individual will ultimately oversee all aspects of the Shared Services functions in India to ensure efficiency and service levels are achieved, Help build the Shared services team which is expected from the Firms growth strategy. In addition, this role will have the opportunity to apply an innovation mindset to create process improvement and implement positive change.

Responsibilities:



  • Defines, communicates, and delivers on shared services strategy and expected outcomes, collaborating with department and regional leaders to ensure efficient execution of the Firm s objectives

  • Recommends, implements, and updates strategies and policies for the firm s Shared Services functions

  • Applies deep knowledge of best practices to optimize the end-to-end processes

  • Benchmark shared services organization against other companies to identify & implement process improvements

  • Oversight of internal client relationships across Business Units

  • Develop and oversee administration of internal metrics across Shared Services

  • Oversees department operations & consistent application of processes, policies and guidelines that harmonize with finance operations and other Firm departments

  • Promotes innovation within the team

  • Creates high service and quality standards and sets clear expectations for team members

  • Promotes adherence to established internal controls; anticipates, recognizes, and reacts to situations that create potential risk for the Firm and initiates mitigation plans

  • Support both internal and external audit and ensures compliance and audit-readiness of all AP/AR processes

  • Drives a culture of lifetime learning and developing a strong personal brand in other team members

  • Build out and assist in the oversight of the firm s training programs

  • Continuously develops new skills focused on leadership and finance operations


Qualifications:



  • Chartered Accountant, MBA Finance; emphasis in accounting, business, or related field preferred

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting leadership experience in a complex, matrix organization required; including demonstrated involvement with building and leading high-performing teams and fostering an inclusive culture; experience in public accounting or professional services environment preferred. Knowledgeable in billing and accounting technologies

  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint) and
    automated financial systems to gather, analyze, and report data

  • A proven track record of successfully executing positive change and delivering operational excellence

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex issues and influence across all levels of the organization

  • Effective time management and organizational skills, with proven ability to prioritize while simultaneously manage numerous projects and processes, often under tight deadlines

  • Experience implementing technology systems preferred

  • Executive presence with diplomacy, good judgment, and ability to develop relationships, build rapport, and effectively interface with all levels including stakeholders, clients, and vendors

  • Experience coaching and managing a team; Including managing the work of remote team members

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 5%
