Job Description:

As the Finance Manager for an Indian-based architectural design firm, you will be responsible for managing the financial activities of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and implementing effective financial controls. You will play a critical role in providing financial insights, developing budgets, and guiding the company's financial strategy to support its growth objectives.

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

Develop and monitor financial plans, budgets, and forecasts in alignment with the company's strategic goals.

Conduct financial analysis, including profitability analysis, cost control, and variance analysis, to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.

Identify opportunities for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and overall financial optimization.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements.

Implement and maintain robust financial controls and processes to safeguard company assets.

Budgeting and Cost Management:

Collaborate with project managers and department heads to develop project budgets and monitor project financial performance.

Track project costs, revenue recognition, and project profitability.

Provide guidance on cost-saving initiatives, resource allocation, and project financial management.

Cash Flow Management:

Monitor and forecast cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for business operations.

Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and cash management systems.

Develop and implement strategies to optimize working capital and manage working capital requirements.

Financial Strategy and Decision Support:

Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that support business growth and profitability.

Provide financial insights and analysis for strategic decision-making.

Evaluate investment opportunities, conduct feasibility studies, and perform financial due diligence.

Team Management and Development:

Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and excellence within the finance team.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

2. Professional qualification such as CA, CMA, or equivalent is highly preferred.

3. Proven experience as a Finance Manager or a similar role within the architecture, engineering, or construction industry.

4. In-depth knowledge of Indian accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.

5. Strong financial analysis and forecasting skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.

6. Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
