The Role
Finance Manager
You will be a part of the Middle East South Asia Finance Team based in India. This role gives the incumbent an opportunity to work in a challenging environment, especially dealing with the Indian tax complexities, and learn about the dynamics of the aviation industry in the sub-continent.
What Youll Do
You will be a part of a team and managing people who deal with compliances for countries in the sub-continent.
- Ensure all tax and regulatory returns, as applicable, are filed correctly and on time in all countries including managing third parties who file the returns on BAs behalf
- Support finance BPO regarding tax applicability to supplier invoices and any other areas required, as applicable
- Provide all locally required support for taxation matters in line with both corporate policies and country local law.
- Support the resolution of ongoing tax disputes and associated litigations, where applicable,
- Hold discussions with Tax officers, respond to summons, notices and letters from the tax office including issuance of clarificatory letters to Tax authorities as and when required
- Support Regional Finance Manager (RFM) and Finance Manager MESA with corporate tax compliance including issuance of exemption certificates
- Keep abreast of new development in tax and financial compliance and ensure BA remains compliant
- Maintain relationships with local tax advisors & accountants including support with specific activities, as applicable
- Actively support RFM on projects for continuous process improvement
- Assistance in internal and external audits, investigations and disputes
- Represent, promote and protect the best interests of the company with external organisations, local authorities, local courts and unions.
- Undertake any business-related activity in line with business needs

- Comprehensive knowledge of ICFR, GDPR and PCI standards
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Your Experience
- Education to degree level or equivalent standard (Post Graduate degree is an advantage - desirable)
- A graduate in accountancy - any experience in international taxation would be an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of local compliances in countries within scope
- Tax experience in the airline industry (desirable)
- Experience in dealing with tax litigations & Tax authorities
- Experience in dealing with Vendor payments & PTP functions
- Previous financial accounting experience in a large company
- Experience of dealing with confidential information with discretion and integrity
- Has worked with sensitive information and has maintained a flawless record in terms of confidentiality
