Overview
The Finance Head will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the company in Raja Annamalai Puram. This position holds significance in ensuring the organization's financial health and stability through strategic planning, budget management, and financial analysis.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develop and oversee financial strategies, plans, and policies to drive business growth and profitability.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Provide financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and legislation.
- Manage cash flow and forecasting, monitor financial performance, and identify trends.
- Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support decision-making processes with meaningful financial information and analysis.
- Monitor and manage risk, including implementation of internal controls.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
- Lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors, and ensure successful completion.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate financial planning and other operational matters.
- Evaluate and advise on business operations, financial performance, and profitability.
- Maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors.
- Drive continuous process improvement and operational efficiency in the finance function.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Finance Controller, or similar leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and regulations.
- Strong understanding of financial software and MS Office; ERP system experience preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and results-driven mindset.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, or equivalent) a plus.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and changes in regulatory environment.
- Experience in strategic financial planning and risk management.
- Ability to develop and implement financial controls and operational improvements.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
