We are looking for a Finance Controller Manager with
10+ Years of experience to be based at our
Mangalore office in India and to be part of our growth story.
EG is actively expanding its Finance Functions and seeks a proactive and experienced Financial Controller to lead the development of a new Controlling Department within our Shared Service Center in Mangalore, India. You will play a pivotal role in transitioning financial and group controlling operations from Denmark to India, establishing and leading a new team, aligning with EG's Global standards and supporting the broader finance team based both in Nordics and India.
As a Financial Controller, you will work closely with our team in Denmark to understand existing financial controlling operations. Your primary responsibilities will include optimizing processes, ensuring compliance with financial standards, and transferring these processes to the new team in India.
In addition to this, this role also involves establishing and training a completely new team of Financial Controllers in India ensuring they are equipped to support global finance structure while promoting operational excellence.
You will utilize advanced IT systems such as Oracle NetSuite, for which comprehensive training will be provided, supplemented with continuous support from the Danish team. This will equip you to effectively overcome challenges and achieve a successful operational transfer.

In the initial phase you will be reporting to head office in Denmark. As the Operations Finance and other Shared Service functions are expanding in India a manager will be employed as head of the Indian Shared Service function. By then you will start reporting to a local superior but still have knowledge share with you counterpart in Denmark.
Your workday and Tasks:
In this position you will have an interface with your colleagues at EG both in India and in Denmark.
Your main tasks will consist of the following:
- Transferring Group Controlling tasks to India and optimizing the processes supporting the Nordic Group Controlling team on an ongoing basis in collaboration with colleagues from IT, the business operation and other shared service functions.
- Responsible for recruitment, training and practical management of colleagues in the team
- Coordination of tasks and projects with your colleagues in Denmark/Scandinavia
- Other various administrative tasks related to Group Controlling (RtR Process).
We make sure to provide you a thorough introduction to the tasks, after which tasks are successively moved to India in line with the employment of additional Indian employees. The Nordic team is always ready to support and spar with you, so that the build-up of the Indian function is balanced, reassuring and the tasks are solved correctly.

- Establish and optimize the controlling function, integrating processes with a holistic approach focused on interaction and inputs.
- Maintain compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
- Drive results through team efforts, highlighting collective achievements over individual accolades.
- Handle practical challenges with a balanced and hands-on approach, ensuring realistic management of tasks.
We are Searching for a Profile who is:
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Experienced in leadership within international settings, preferably with exposure to European or American corporate cultures.
- Experienced with accounting or auditing in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or otherwise an interest or deep knowledge hereof
- Analytical oriented towards financial data, able to provide insights and influence decision-making processes.
- Demonstrates a humble attitude towards the practical challenges of the role.
- Good understanding of the interaction between the ERP and related systems, and the finance processes
- Previous experience in a shared services environment, with a strong understanding of compliance and operational standards.
