About The Role
The role involves leading and supporting the accounting function at the Gomia Manufacturing site, with a focus on enhancing business performance to increase shareholder value through quality management accounting and financial analysis. Additionally, it emphasizes collaboration with plant stakeholders as a business partner.
What you will be doing
Maintain a safe working environment and provide personal leadership on safety, health and environment issues by:
- Compliance with SH&E charter
- Commitment and input to SH&E management systems
- Demonstrate safe behavior
- Participate in site SH&E programs
- Attendance at site SH&E meetings
Contribute business profitability by proactively identifying and implementing improvements. Management of the budget process for production volumes, fixed and variable costs, and capital expenditures through:
- Monthly monitoring of site operating and fixed costs and make recommendations for improvement
- Involvement in key decision making process relating to the site
- Ongoing review of inventory position and SAP product costing
- Manage site capital process including financial evaluation, approval process and capital spend monitoring
- Manage budgeting/forecasting process for the site
Active participation in the plant management team and provision of leadership on financial matters. Work closely with the plant stakeholders and country finance team in order to achieve superior manufacturing result. Actively providing detailed financial analytics by:
- Develop quality financial reports and models to facilitate analysis of business operations and projects
- Influence of key stakeholders to ensure optimal outcome
- Education of plant employees in financial & management accounting concepts which they can apply on a day-to-day basis.
Develop customer relationships that ensure confidence in business and project outcomes. Maintain close relationship with the Business to ensure goals are delivered as per business needs by:
- Ensure continued stakeholder commitment through effective communication and performance reporting
- Prepare consistent documentation to ensure business expectations are met
Acting as a Financial Controller for School, Hospital and Club in Gomia township
What you will bring
- Min 8 years post graduate experience in manufacturing accounting or standard costing
- Preferably working experience in a large or global manufacturing MNCs
- Possess unquestioned reputation for integrity, ethics, personal values and solid character
- Builds the trust of others both internally and externally

- Conceptual and analytical thinker
- Model resilience and flexibility; adapts well to new circumstances and adversity

- Engage with Senior Executives to deliver financial outcomes
- No major audit findings from external or internal audits/no issues with fraud in relation to scope of role
- Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting
- Professional designation, preferably CPA.
- SAP HANA knowledge essential. Understanding of other SAP modules i.e. BPC would be advantageous.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
