We seek a financial professional for a Finance Analyst/Client Accounting role in our Pune, India office. This entry-level position provides new or recent graduates with an excellent foundation in financial management within a multi-office business environment. As a Client Accounting Analyst, you will be an instrumental part of the Client Accounting team supporting our projects and client teams, providing a full range of financial management support from project setup through final delivery to our clients. closely with project managers.
Responsibilities:
- Contact commercial customers regarding overdue accounts (revenue collection, insufficient payment follow-up, payment disputes and query resolutions);
- Investigate and resolve customer billing and other account discrepancies causing non-payment (jointly with billing team);
- Maintain weekly AR aging report within SAP to allow thorough client follow-up
- Prepare periodic dashboards/management reports to track collection progress; escalate unpaid accounts;
- Process global customer remittances (invoice and payment reconciliation, posting payments to correct G/L accounts) and non-invoice transactions (rebates and cash-on-account);
- Download bank statements and reports (EDI) daily; reconcile statements and transactions;
- Prepare rolling monthly Cash Application report for management;
- Ensure compliance with firm policies;
- Complete ad-hoc requests from project managers.
Qualifications:
- B. Com with a strong record of academic success (60% minimum);
- 2 to 4 years of relevant A/R or collections work experience, IT Industry experience preferred;
- Experience with SAP Finance modules, knowledge of basic accounting principles;
- Strong computer skills (advanced MS Excel functions, MS Word proficiency);
- Able to maintain a positive and professional demeanor when working with difficult customers;
- Effective oral and written communication skills; effective listening and good telephone skills;
- Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards;
- Motivation, personal initiative and strong team/interpersonal skills;
- Strong analytic skills and problem-solving ability;
