Finance Analyst - GPS will be based in India, will report to Senior Accountant (Ovation), will be mainly responsible for accounting and reporting functions primarily supporting GPS team in addition to the larger finance organization. Amex GBT Partner Solutions (GPS) refers to Amex GBT s program, whereby participating travel agencies can benefit from, among other things, Amex GBT s global supplier network, long-standing relationships with suppliers and access to Amex GBT s products, services, and technology.
Learn and integrate new application called Sion with current commission calculation and statements process. Calculate commissions for Independent Advisors (IAs) using Sion and perform related reconciliations.
Preparing and Posting Journal Entries in Agresso (Accounting Software)
Act as a liaison with Independent Advisors and Affiliates (third parties) and a strategic partner to finance management in driving & streamlining process improvements.
Providing ad hoc reporting, analysis, or assistance in other projects as needed as part of the larger corporate accounting organization .Work with various teams such as AP, AP, Supplier revenue teams etc.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual processes under tight timeframes.
Ensure that accounting records are thoroughly maintained in preparation for audits.
Maintain adequate and current documentation of the systems in support of internal control. Maintain a solid working knowledge of technical accounting skills.
Participate in Finance related projects as needed. May assume overall responsibility for small size legal entity or regional tasks.
Support external and internal audit requests. SOX and Internal Control reporting
Financial analysis, general analytics, and accounting.
Process improvements (operational and system)
What We re Looking For :
Bachelor s degree in accounting or finance with 3-5 years of experience in Accounting/Finance function
Travel industry experience preferred, not required.
Prior experience or knowledge of Sion is a significant asset, although not a requirement. Customer Service experience is an asset.
Ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects while meeting goals and deadlines.
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functional units and levels within the organization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Continuous improvement mindset with a proven ability to implement process improvements. Experience utilizing accounting and finance software (NetSuite and/or Agresso preferred)
Proficiency with Excel and other MS Office applications. Professional demeanor with ability to interact with all levels of management.
