Role Description
Responsible for maintaining records of accounts to make and preparing periodic reports around GST & IT from time to time. He/She is authorized to perform functions relating to filing returns by the applicable due dates. He/She is also responsible for reviewing, investigating and correcting errors and inconsistencies in books of accounts and financials.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Ensuring TDS/PF/ESI/GST Compliances like payment, returns and certificates.
2. E-invoicing as per GST norms w.r.t. the invoices raised across all branches to the customers.
3. E-filing of periodical returns as per applicable statutes like Income Tax-TDS/GST and others, within stipulated due date and corrections thereof, if any.
4. Reconciling TDS deducted by vendors with Form 26AS on a quarterly basis.
5. Reconciliation of GSTR-2A with ITC as per books.
6. Checking the invoices received from vendors w.r.t. the remittance of GST levied by the vendor before processing the payment.
7. Train the internal stakeholders on direct and indirect Tax provisions and other product features related to taxes.
8. Liaise with internal and external auditors, prepare financial statements and schedules for statutory audits, including any other information, and coordinate for the smooth conduct of internal and statutory audits.
9. Monitor and respond to tax authority communications & drafting of replies to SCN/appeal.
10. Representation before the GST/IT department for various GST/IT audits and related Litigation matters at various levels.
11. Recommend tax strategies that align with business goals.
12. Identify tax savings and suggest ways to increase profits.
13. Follow industry trends and track changes related to taxes.
14. Forecast tax predictions to the management.
15. Review payment entries, reconcile bank accounts daily, and follow up on unidentified entries.
16. Ensuring the Fixed Asset Schedule is prepared as per the statute requirement and updated, including disposals, depreciation, and other reports, as and when required.
17. Any other responsibility assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
He/She should have proven experience in Statutory with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience.
Language and IT Proficiency
MS Office (Word / Excel) with Excellent oral & written English proficiency; Other local languages will be an additional plus point.
