Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Finance & Accounts Manager to oversee all financial and accounting operations of our technology company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial planning, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, and providing strategic insights to support business growth. The Finance & Accounts Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring sound financial management and effective decision-making in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

This role will require the following responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the companys long-term business objectives.
  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct variance analysis between actuals and forecasts, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor key financial performance metrics (KPIs) to track the companys financial health.

Accounting & Financial Reporting:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger processes.
  • Maintain and enforce proper accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Ensure effective cash flow management to meet the companys operational needs.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and implement strategies for working capital optimization.
  • Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions for loan arrangements and credit facilities.

Taxation & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations.
  • Manage tax planning and filing activities, including income tax, GST, and other statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors and government authorities for financial audits and tax inspections.
  • Stay updated with changes in tax laws and accounting regulations that may affect the company.

Payroll & Compensation Management:

  • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with labor laws and tax regulations.
  • Manage employee benefits, compensation structures, and bonus programs.
  • Ensure accurate employee records, and implement cost-effective payroll management practices.

Financial Risk Management:

  • Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Monitor and evaluate financial risks related to technology investments, projects, and partnerships.
  • Ensure adequate internal controls are in place to protect the companys assets.

Strategic Decision Support:

  • Work closely with senior management to provide financial insights and support strategic business decisions.
  • Evaluate the financial viability of new business initiatives, technology projects, and investments.
  • Provide financial guidance on mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions, if required.

Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of finance and accounting professionals.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and ensure continuous development of the finance team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Masters/MBA Finance preferred).
  • Professional certification as Chartered Accountant is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience (7-10 years) in finance and accounting roles, preferably in a technology or fast-paced company.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax regulations, and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders across different departments.

Pay range and compensation package:

Salary range: INR 20 Lakhs. Salary is negotiable based on the candidate's skills and experience. The company offers competitive incentive packages, medical care for self and family, and other benefits.

Optional location for this role is Noida, Uttar Pradesh
