About Company:

DSS Takara Bio India is a joint venture between DSS Imagetech Pvt. Ltd. and Takara Bio Inc. established in 2011 to bring world-class quality molecular biology tools and research kits to the doorstep of Indian Scientific Community making them readily available and affordable in the Indian biotechnology market.

We market Takara Bio, Clontech, Cellartis, and Rubicon products to customers throughout the country. Additionally, we represent comprehensive product lines from our Partnered brands Macherey-Nagel, TriLink and PromoCell. At present, we are manufacturing Takara Bio branded routine molecular biology products in India at our manufacturing unit located in New Delhi.

Job Description:

Primary Role: The primary Role of the Field Application Specialist is to provide support to end-users by identifying, researching and resolving problems and issues; create and conduct operational and technical trainings for clients; and partner with Sales, Marketing, and Account Management to meet clients needs. This role provides technical product support to both internal and external customers, who use or support the use of Takara Bio's Products.

Objective: To provide reliable, quick and efficient support to customers and sales members in the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Pre-sales: Assist sales team members with technical queries during pre-sales discussions
  • Post-sales: Troubleshooting: guidance to customers for running their experiments or have technical queries
  • Provide quick and accurate resolution to query/complaint
  • Provide trainings to dealers and sales teams as required and identified
  • Participate in conferences and roadshow when conducted
  • Takes an active role in ensuring that any escalation is handled promptly and effectively
  • Be a reference point for the entire regional team on various application topics and is able to resolve most of the items escalated

KPI:

  • Make routine visits to customers and dealers and generate leads for business development
  • Update competitor activity/promotions to PM as monthly plan
  • Capture the initial complaint in CRM within 2 working Days
  • Gather necessary details in 5 working days to identify root cause
  • Closing / Resolving complaints within 15 days.

Candidate must have:

  • Action Oriented and good decision making ability
  • Team Player & Good Communication skills-Verbal & written
  • Continuous and Versatile Learner
  • Good customer service attitude and willingness to Travel

Qualification

  • M.SC / M. Tech.- Biotechnology/Life Sciences
  • PhD in Life Sciences is preferred

Experience:

4-8 years

Additional Skills (If Any):

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills
  • Proven research & communication skills preferable
  • Strong understanding of biotech trends, technologies, and market dynamics
  • Self Motivated
