Role - Designer - Associate / Director (Apparel)

- Intent is to build an inhouse Athleisure brand from scratch serving both domestic and international market and become a house of brands in different categories of Apparels;
Responsibilities:
Creative Designing:
- The primary responsibility of a fashion designer is to conceptualize and create original designs for clothing and accessories;
- This involves sketching, fabric selection, color coordination, and pattern making;
Trend Analysis & Forecasting:
- Must be adaptable and open to innovation to quickly adapt to changing trends and consumer preferences while also pushing the boundaries of creativity to create new & innovative designs;
- Stay ahead of the curve by researching and analyzing current fashion trends;
- Attend fashion shows, visit trade fairs, and study consumer behavior to predict future trends;
Technical Skills:
- Strong technical skills to translate their designs into tangible products;
- Proficiency in pattern drafting, draping, and garment construction;
- Must have the familiarity with various fabrics, embellishments, and manufacturing techniques;
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate closely with other professionals in the industry, such as merchandisers, buyers, and manufacturers;
- Effective communication skills are essential for conveying design concepts, discussing production details, and resolving any issues that may arise during the design process;
Product Development:
- Creating mood boards, selecting fabrics, and overseeing the production process to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications;
- Creating measures to evaluate the quality of the final product, inspecting prototypes and samples to ensure they meet the desired standards in terms of fit, construction and finish;
Brand Building and Promotion:
- Create branding strategies, develop marketing materials, and participate in fashion shows and events to showcase their designs;
- Leverage social media and other digital platforms to engage with their audience and promote their brand online;
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field;
- Graduation from NIFT, MICA or any top tier college;
- Experience: Min. 5 to 15 Years;
- Compensation Structure: Rs. 8 to 24 Lakhs per anumn;
Preference:
- Min. 5 year experience in fashion industry;
- Worked with any global brand or logo;
- Experience of launching a brand on social media or e comm. Platforms;
- Industry connects for back end operations (Fabric Mfg, Tailors, Bulk Mfg and so on);
- Collaborated with other fashion designers in past or participated in the fashion shows;
