Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage the design process from conception through to final styling.
- Conduct market research to identify new trends, fabrics, and techniques, seeking design inspiration.
- Collaborate with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to lines, and create new concepts.
- Ensure the product aligns with business strategy.
- Select fabrics and trims.
- Create production sketches for development packages.
- Collaborate with a technical designer to ensure development packages are accurate.
- Review product for style and fit during presentations.
- Present story, mood, color boards, and samples.
- Oversee the production unit and handle all production-related activities.
- Design and merchandise apparel.
- Work closely with junior designers, sales teams, and CAD artists to develop new lines.
- Develop layouts, logos, and style guides to ensure a consistent brand identity.
- Create promotional posters for various sponsored events.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 4 years of industry experience required.
- Proficiency with Google workspace, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
- Willingness to travel for research and product development.
- Ability to sketch by hand.
- Excellent design and conceptual skills.
- Strong sense of style and color.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines.
- This position will be remote for the first few months and in-office thereafter.
