ResponsibilitiesA fashion designer will be responsible for designing and creating clothing, accessories, for ladies garment boutique. He must know to use their artistic skills to develop unique and fashionable designs for the boutique.
- Research and Development: Oversee the research and development of new styles for an organization, managing the design process from conception through to final styling.
- Design Creation: Create or visualize an idea and produce a design by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD)
- Trend Forecasting: Identify and predict fashion trends and styles
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop products to meet customer and market needs
- Production Oversight: Coordinate with production team to ensure designs are manufactured properly
- Proven work experience of 10 years as a Fashion Designer.
- Strong portfolio of previous work showcasing originality and creativity
- Strong knowledge of current fashion trends and the ability to predict future trends
- Experience with design software, such as CAD or Illustrator
- Excellent drawing skills, especially human figure and clothing sketches
- Strong visual and color sense
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field
