Job Summary: Saanvi Kalyaan Foundation is seeking a qualified and experienced Faculty member to join our Operation Theatre Technology department. The Faculty will be responsible for delivering lectures, conducting practical sessions, and guiding students in the field of operation theatre technology. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, teaching skills, and a passion for shaping competent healthcare professionals in this specialized field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Learning:
- Deliver lectures and practical sessions to students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Operation Theatre Technology
- Design and develop course curricula, learning materials, and assessment methods that align with industry standards and regulatory guidelines
- Facilitate active learning through interactive teaching methods, case studies, and group discussions
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students, addressing their queries and concerns
- Assessment and Evaluation:
- Create and administer assessments, examinations, and practical evaluations
- Set evaluation criteria, grade student performance, and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain accurate and updated records of student attendance, assignments, and assessments
- Practical Training:
- Organize and supervise practical training in operation theatres, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene protocols
- Ensure the availability of necessary equipment and resources for practical sessions
- Provide hands-on training and guidance to students in operation theatre procedures, techniques, and equipment handling
- Curriculum Development:
- Stay updated with advancements and trends in operation theatre technology and incorporate them into teaching and curriculum development
- Collaborate with the department head and colleagues to review and revise the curriculum based on industry demands and emerging practices
- Professional Development:
- Participate in faculty development programs, workshops, and conferences to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
- Engage in continuous learning and professional growth through self-study, research, and networking with industry experts
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Operation Theatre Technology or a related field. A Master's degree holder in Operation Theatre Technology is preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 0-1 years of teaching experience in operation theatre technology or a related field at a recognized institution
- Skills:
- Strong subject knowledge and expertise in operation theatre procedures, techniques, and equipment
- Excellent teaching and communication skills
- Ability to design and deliver effective lectures and practical sessions
- Proficiency in using instructional technology and online learning platforms
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to provide mentorship and guidance to students
