Job Summary:
Dharamshila Belting Pvt. Ltd., a leading company in the power transmission products category, is seeking an experienced Export Manager with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the export business. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing and expanding the company's international sales, ensuring smooth operations in international markets, and managing all aspects of the export cycle, from customer acquisition to logistics and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Export Sales and Market Expansion
- Develop and implement export strategies to expand market reach in key international markets.
- Identify and build new international business opportunities, focusing on markets with high demand for power transmission products such as belts, pulleys, chains, and related items.
- Manage existing key accounts, strengthen relationships, and negotiate sales contracts, ensuring long-term growth.
- Conduct market analysis to assess global trends, competitors, and customer needs, providing insights to drive business strategy.
2. International Client Relationship Management
- Act as the main point of contact for international clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
- Build and nurture relationships with distributors, OEMs, and agents in various international markets.
- Address client inquiries related to product details, pricing, and availability, ensuring seamless communication.
3. Logistics and Documentation
- Coordinate with internal teams and logistics providers to ensure the smooth execution of shipments, from order placement to delivery.
- Ensure all export-related documentation is completed accurately, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and customs documentation.
- Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective shipping.
4. Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, regulations, and customs requirements.
- Stay updated on global trade policies, tariffs, and duties that impact the export of power transmission products.
- Manage compliance with export documentation requirements, such as certificates of origin and regulatory standards for specific countries.
5. Budget and Financial Management
- Develop and manage the export department's budget, ensuring cost control and maximizing profitability.
- Collaborate with the finance department on managing payments, letters of credit, and foreign exchange risk.
- Prepare sales forecasts, track performance, and provide management with regular updates on export activities and financial performance.
6. Marketing and Business Development
- Work with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns tailored to international markets.
- Represent DBPL at international trade shows, conferences, and exhibitions to promote power transmission products.
- Collaborate on digital marketing strategies to boost visibility and lead generation in target regions.
7. Team Management and Collaboration
- Lead and mentor the export team, ensuring they are well-trained and aligned with company objectives.
- Collaborate with production, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure timely fulfillment of orders and adherence to quality standards.
- Provide feedback and insights to the product development team based on customer feedback and market trends.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- B-Tech Mechanical or a related Engineering field.
- MBA or a specialized degree in international trade is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the export of power transmission products (belts, pulleys, chains, etc.).
- Proven experience in managing international clients and expanding into new markets.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of power transmission products and their applications across industries.
- Expertise in export logistics, incoterms, international trade regulations, and customs procedures.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and CRM tools.
Soft Skills:
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving ability and a customer-centric approach to business.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team to achieve set targets.
Languages:
- Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
