Description
We are seeking an experienced Export Documentation specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of the Indian export market and documentation procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all export documentation is complete and accurate, and that all shipments comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review export documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs declarations
- Ensure all export documentation is complete, accurate and complies with legal and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to arrange for shipments
- Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained for export shipments
- Communicate with customers and suppliers to ensure all necessary documentation is obtained in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of all export documentation
- Provide support to the sales and logistics teams as required
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in export documentation
- Strong understanding of Indian export market and documentation procedures
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Familiarity with customs regulations and procedures
