About the role:
As an Expert Mendix Low Code Developer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.
Responsibilities
- Technical ability: Develop and maintain the overall solution of Mendix applications, ensuring they align with business objectives and technical requirements
- Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor development teams in best practices for Mendix development, providing technical guidance and ensuring high-quality deliverables
- Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of Mendix projects, from initial requirements gathering and design to deployment and ongoing maintenance
- Integration: Design and implement integrations between Mendix applications and other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize Mendix applications for performance, scalability, and reliability
- Security: Ensure that Mendix applications adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements
- Documentation: Create comprehensive architectural documentation, including design specifications, technical guidelines, and deployment procedures
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Innovation: Stay updated with the latest Mendix features and industry trends, leveraging new technologies and approaches to enhance solutions
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in IT, including significant expertise in Mendix application development and architecture
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven experience in developing applications using the Mendix low-code platform
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns
- Proficiency in modeling business processes and data using Mendix Studio Pro
- Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and Javascript
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration techniques
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Desirable
- Mendix certification (e.g., Mendix Rapid Developer, Advanced Developer)
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Familiarity with DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment
