Job Description

  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect early signs of ocular diseases.
  • Prescribe and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses, considering patients occupation, habits, and facial features.
  • Provide pre and post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgeries.
  • Advise patients on proper eye care techniques and recommend appropriate products.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in optometry to provide the best care to patients.
  • Maintain detailed patient records and coordinate with other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards in the optometry field.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct eye examinations to assess vision and detect any underlying ocular conditions.
  • Utilize advanced equipment to diagnose eye-related problems and prescribe necessary treatments.
  • Provide guidance to patients on proper eye care practices and suggest suitable eye care products.

Requirements

  • Degree in Optometry and a valid state license to practice.
  • Proven experience working as an Optometrist, with expertise in conducting eye examinations and prescribing corrective lenses.
  • Strong knowledge of ocular diseases, conditions, and treatments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality eye care services.
