You will join the exciting Swiss Re journey to transform its global L&H experience studies (ES) landscape by shaping, influencing, introducing and maintaining a new standardized and state-of-the-art solution that is built for the global L&H experience studies community.
About the Role
- Develop and maintain the best practice, governance framework and standard operating procedure for experience studies to achieve operational excellence, balancing regional and global requirements and needs
- Develop and maintain training program around experience studies, which includes but not limited to ES theory, R programming and internal global ES tools.
- Deliver ES training program to the worldwide ES community
- Foster strong collaboration and involvement across regions and central teams to ensure alignment and contribution to a common global experience studies approach
- Take a proactive role in the L&H Experience Studies Expert Group, supporting the L&H Experience Studies Centre to shape the future of experience studies
- Work with and provide support to other team members within ES Centre to deliver the global ES project and other team mandates
- Act as the local team lead for wider team members within Oval and Global Experience Studies team based in Bangalore and provide day-to-day local location management support to them
About the Team
Our team, Experience Studies Centre, which is a sub-team of the OVAL and Global Experience studies team, forms part of L&H Portfolio Steering & Monitoring (PSM) within the Chief Underwriting Office (CUO). We aim to implement a standardised and state-of-the-art Experience Studies solutions that enables effective generation of insights of the L&H business to proactively steer L&H Re in delivering sustainable profits.
The PSM purpose is to generate insights and connect our business to proactively steer L&H in delivering sustainable profit. We therefore closely collaborate with the market units as well as other functions across the L&H community to maximise value and manage risk within our portfolio.
About You
Must have
- Qualified or near qualified actuary with 7+ years of experience in the L&H actuarial domain
- Prior hands-on working experience with L&H experience studies and governance framework related work
- Good knowledge in R programming
- Great communication and influential skills
- Ability to interact with colleagues across all levels of the organisation and worked toward a common solution
- Ability to work independently and in a team (including cross functional teams) to contribute to successful delivery of work
- Strong analytical skills and the ability and courage to constructively challenge decisions based on emerging information, but also have the business mindset to be solutions oriented
Nice to have
- Expertise in a variety of L&H products, ideally across multiple global markets / regions
