Objective
To head the experience design function of the agency and be responsible for the quality of creative output and its impact on the client and market.
This role has to ensure delivery of strategic communication solutions that help clients attain their marketing and communication objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of UX and UI designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Conduct regular design reviews, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance team performance.
- Ensure employee training and retention
- Build and maintain a pool of contractors and freelancers of specialist skills for overflow work
Project Management:
- Oversee multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including developers and project managers, to ensure seamless project execution.
Client Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, presenting design concepts and justifying design choices.
- Gather client feedback and iteratively refine designs to meet their needs.
Hands-On Design:
- Actively contribute to the design of flagship projects, creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals that set the standard for the agency's work.
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and iterate on innovative design solutions.
Design Strategy & Vision:
- Develop and communicate a clear design vision that aligns with client objectives and industry trends.
- Create and implement design processes and methodologies that ensure high-quality outcomes.
User-Centered Design:
- Advocate for user-centered design principles, conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define user personas, user journeys, and design specifications.
Brand Integration:
- Ensure all designs adhere to established brand guidelines, maintaining consistency and integrity across all digital touchpoints.
- Work closely with clients to understand their brand vision and translate it into effective design solutions.
Latest trends:
- Keep abreast of industry trends, tools, and technologies to ensure the agency remains at the forefront of experience design.
- Adopt and stay on of latest AI trends and design thinking methodologies
Organizational
- Understand business and commercial implications to provide solutions
- Create and own the agency's portfolio management of latest work to help with sales and marketing
- Work on pro-active ideas for existing clients to help engage clients generate new business
Knowledge
- 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience working with brand guidelines to help translate into digital experiences
- Proven track record of managing design teams and delivering successful digital projects.
- Strong portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions for websites and applications.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite).
