Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
  • Trade Operations:
Handle day-to-day export and import operations, including documentation, logistics, and compliance with international trade regulations.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to ensure timely delivery and clearance of goods.
Manage the preparation and submission of required documentation such as invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other necessary documents.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements related to international trade, including customs regulations, export controls, and trade tariffs.
  • Stay updated on changes in international trade laws and apply them to the company's operations.
Market Analysis and Business Development:
  • Conduct market research to identify potential markets and opportunities for export.
Develop and maintain relationships with international clients, suppliers, and partners.
  • Assist in negotiating contracts and pricing with foreign clients and suppliers.
Logistics and Supply Chain Management:
  • Oversee the entire logistics process, including the selection of transportation modes, warehousing, and inventory management.
Optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Financial Management: Monitor and manage payments, including letters of credit, foreign exchange transactions, and other financial instruments related to international trade.
  • Work closely with the finance department to ensure proper documentation and reporting of all financial transactions.
Client Relationship Management:
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Provide excellent customer service to resolve any issues that arise during the export or import process.
  • Risk Management:
Identify potential risks in the export-import process and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Ensure proper insurance coverage for goods in transit and manage claims in case of loss or damage.
  • Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Background:
  • A degree in International Business, Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is often preferred.
Additional certifications in export-import management or international trade can be advantageous.
  • Experience:
Previous experience in an export-import or logistics role is usually required.
  • Familiarity with international trade regulations, documentation, and customs procedures.
Skills:
  • Strong understanding of global trade dynamics and market conditions.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in using trade-related software and tools.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Analytical skills to assess market trends and make informed decisions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,
  • 00 - 55,000.00 per month
