- Oversee the storage, handling, and movement of pharmaceutical products, ensuring all processes align with GDP and regulatory standards.
- Implement best practices for stock rotation (FEFO/FIFO) to maintain product quality, especially for temperature-sensitive items, and reduce wastage.
- Manage cold chain storage, ensuring that temperature-sensitive products (e.g., vaccines, biologics) are stored under optimal conditions.
- Monitor temperature and humidity levels in cold chambers and ensure real-time corrective actions in case of deviations.
- Maintain strict records of temperature logs and conduct regular audits of cold storage conditions.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure adherence to GDP guidelines for cold chain products, maintaining accurate documentation for inbound/outbound goods, batch tracking, and temperature-controlled shipments.
- Assist in audits by regulatory bodies and maintain all required documentation for compliance with cold chain regulations.
- Inventory Control and Quality Assurance:
- Conduct inventory counts for both standard and cold chain products, ensuring real-time updates in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Perform regular quality checks to ensure product integrity, particularly for cold chain products that require specific environmental conditions.
- Report any deviations, non-conformances, or issues related to product integrity or storage conditions.
- Ensure timely and accurate picking, packing, and dispatch of both standard and cold chain orders while adhering to GDP guidelines.
- Verify batch numbers, expiry dates, and packaging integrity, particularly for cold chain shipments that may require specialized packaging.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, particularly for handling temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical products.
- Ensure proper procedures are followed for hazardous or delicate products stored in cold chambers.
- Warehouse Operations and Team Coordination:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth warehouse operations, particularly during the handling and distribution of cold chain products.
- Help train team members on GDP standards and cold chain handling practices to maintain high-quality operational standards.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on warehouse operations, stock levels, temperature logs, and compliance status, with a focus on cold chain product management.
- Communicate any cold chain-specific challenges or non-compliance issues to management for prompt resolution.
- Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of GDP (Good Distribution Practice) guidelines and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements, especially for cold chain products.
- 2-3 years of experience in pharmaceutical warehouse management or a related field, with cold chain handling experience.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and MS Office.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills, particularly for temperature-controlled environments.
- Familiarity with batch tracking, stock rotation methods (FIFO/FEFO), and proper handling of cold chain pharmaceutical products.
- Ability to work independently and ensure compliance with stringent regulatory guidelines, particularly for cold chain management.
- Proactive and problem-solving mindset with strong communication skills.
- Prior experience in managing cold chain audits and inspections.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy.
- Physically capable of handling and moving products, particularly cold chain items that may require special equipment.
- Comfortable working in cold chambers for extended periods, ensuring proper PPE and safety measures are followed.
