Executive, Supply Chain (Specialty Chemicals) will be responsible for managing supply chain functions like freight forwarders in Europe and Onward Distribution within Europe. The incumbent will play a key role in the conceptualizing and strengthening end-to-end supply chain solutions for our global suppliers and customers in Europe.
Responsibilities:
1. Transportation Coordination: Arrange the movement of goods from the point of origin to the final destination using various modes of transport (sea, rail, road).
2. Documentation: Prepare and manage essential shipping documents, such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs documentation.
3. Customs Clearance: Facilitate the customs clearance process by ensuring compliance with import/export regulations and requirements in both the origin and destination countries.
4. Cargo Insurance: Advise clients on cargo insurance options and arrange insurance coverage to protect goods during transit.
5. Route Planning: Optimize shipping routes and methods to minimize costs and delivery times, taking into account factors like shipping rates, transit times, and regulations.
6. Tracking and Monitoring: Provide tracking services to monitor the shipment's progress and keep clients informed about the status of their goods.
7. Warehousing and Storage: Offer warehousing solutions for temporary storage of goods before or after shipping, including inventory management services.
8. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with international shipping, such as delays, damage, or loss of goods.
9. Client Consultation: Provide expert advice to clients on logistics, shipping regulations, and best practices for international trade.
10. Freight Rate Negotiation: Negotiate freight rates with carriers and shipping lines to secure the best possible terms for clients.
11. Handling Claims: Assist clients in filing claims for damaged or lost goods, guiding them through the claims process with insurers or carriers.
12. Compliance and Regulatory Guidance: Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including export controls, customs laws, and trade agreements.
Key Result Area:
Experienced with exposure to International Trading and Logistics Experience in petrochemicals / specialty bulk chemicals /Chemicals industry;
Knowledge of Port infrastructure in Europe for ISO tank bulk-liquids
Knowledge of carriers /vessels operating to-and-fro from Antwerp ports for ISOTANK BULK-LIQUIDS and contacts with all major shipping lines.
Exposure to Europe imports, Storage, Transportation of Chemicals.
Sharp Logistics and Finance Acumen Working knowledge of extra Costs in Supply chain operation & overcoming same with meticulous plans, Cash Flow and Inventory Management, Forecasting/Annual Operating Plans;
A self-starter and a team player, mature individual with strong values;
Should have decision making Skills, Team handling Skills.
Excellent Skills for negotiation of costs, freight.
