On Any Given Day You Might
Contract Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including vendor agreements, client service agreements, and licensing agreements.
- Maintain a comprehensive contract management system, ensuring timely renewals, amendments, and terminations.
- Ensure all contracts are compliant with legal standards and meet company requirements.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, including advertising standards, data privacy laws, IP laws, and digital media regulations.
- Assist in creating and implementing policies that align with legal and regulatory changes in the digital marketing and advertising industries.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations, particularly GDPR and other privacy regulations.
Risk Management
- Identify potential legal risks associated with agency operations and propose strategies for risk mitigation.
- Assist in managing disputes and legal claims, coordinating with external counsel as required.
- Prepare and manage documentation for intellectual property protection, including trademarks and copyrights.
Client & Vendor Engagement
- Act as a point of contact for legal queries from clients and vendors, providing clear guidance and resolutions.
- Support the finance and procurement teams with vendor contract negotiations, due diligence, and compliance assessments.
Legal Advisory
- Provide legal advice and support across different departments, including HR, marketing, and finance.
- Conduct legal research on issues related to digital marketing, advertising laws, and intellectual property.
- Support new projects by providing input on legal feasibility and implications.
Documentation & Record-Keeping
- Maintain organized records of contracts, legal correspondence, compliance documents, and regulatory filings.
- Ensure that all agency activities and documents comply with internal policies and procedures.
The ideal person will
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB);.
- 2+ years of experience in legal roles, preferably within a digital marketing or advertising agency environment.
- Possess strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Have the ability to manage and prioritize workload effectively.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to liaise with clients and team members.
- Show attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, intellectual property rights, data privacy laws, and advertising regulations.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in legal research and using contract management software.
