Fire Protection & Prevention Measure
- Keep track of all the fire protection means deployed for their functioning and efficiency.
- Ensuring regular preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance in case of any fault/ defect generated in the systems through in-house or external sources.
- Strategic deployment and suitable upgradation of different systems as per need basis.
Employee Training and Awareness program
- Develop and maintain a centralized training database
- Develop employee training course structure and related literatures.
- Ensure each employee at Godrej premises is trained in Basic Fire Prevention Techniques and knows about vital information regarding escape routes, evacuation and life-saving techniques.
- Assess and evaluate department specific risk and needs to select set of people from different locations for specialized training modules.
Fire Safety Risk Assessment and Audits
- Carry out internal audits for Vikhroli area and outside premises.
- Assessment of people, processes and equipment from fire safety perspective and its periodical review.
- Co-ordinate for external and 3rd party audits related to Green initiatives/ Ratings/ Certifications.
- Track and act upon the inputs/ observations.
Disaster Management & Emergency Handling
- Establish policies and mechanism on Disaster Management and seek approval from competent authority for their implementation.
- Carry out meetings, table-top exercises and mock drills, streamlining response of manpower and material resources for emergency conditions.
- Ensure execution of emergency plan and rightful working of people in hour of need.
Any secondary responsibility given by the Management.
- Taking additional charge of Shift Manager Security, in case of requirement.
- Readiness to work in shifts, as per requirement.
Who are we looking for
Education:
- Graduate/ Postgraduate in Physical Sciences/ Fire Engineering stream
- Accredited and certified from international bodies of Fire Engineering & Industrial Safety (Desirable).
Experience:
- 5 - 10 years of relevant and demonstrated experience
Skills:
- Good spoken, written and comprehension skills.
- Vigilant mindset and sound approach for implementing system continuity and attaining future proof Fire Safety Management System.
- Awareness about recent trends in safety, fire-fighting and technological advancements.
- Statutory Regulations and safety practices.
- Investigation/ fact-finding Skills
- Must have a proactive mindset and in-depth knowledge about fundamentals of fire, occupational safety and management of life-saving mechanism.
- Explore, assess and implement upcoming technologies in the field of fire protection suiting to Organizational requirements.
- Project management ability and demonstrate execution skills through high level of alertness and situational awareness.
- Ability to collaborate and co-ordinate across various working levels, functions and locations.
