Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials at competitive prices.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and mitigate risks.
Procurement Planning: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop procurement plans and schedules for MEP materials and equipment.
Analyse project requirements and specifications to determine quantities, lead times, and procurement strategies for MEP items.
Forecast demand for MEP materials and equipment based on project schedules and project requirements.
Purchase Order Management: Create and issue purchase orders for MEP materials and equipment in accordance with project requirements and budget constraints.
Monitor the status of purchase orders and track delivery schedules to ensure on-time delivery of materials to project sites.
Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to facilitate the receipt and storage of MEP materials.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that purchased MEP materials and equipment meet quality standards and specifications.
Conduct supplier audits and inspections to assess quality performance and compliance with contractual requirements.
Address any quality issues or non-conformances related to MEP materials and equipment in a timely manner.
Cost Management: Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and currency exchange rates to identify cost-saving opportunities and risks.
Analyse supplier proposals and quotes to evaluate cost competitiveness and negotiate favourable terms and conditions.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize costs and improve efficiency in MEP procurement processes.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the EPC industry with a focus on MEP materials and equipment.
Experience in Mechanical (HVAC) Background is preferred. Strong knowledge of MEP systems and components, including specifications, standards, and sourcing channels.
Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SAP systems for procurement and inventory management. Knowledge of contract law and experience in contract negotiation.
