- Responsible for managing foundational and strategic compliance responsibilities with consistent excellence that supports the team and management.
Job Responsibility
- Implementing and supporting adherence to the Corporate Ethics, Privacy and Compliance Program policies and procedures.
- Drafting and ensuring consistency with local policies and procedures to Corporate ECP policies and procedures.
- Manage/oversee projects, initiatives, due diligence/merger and acquisition activity, regulatory audits or exams, on-site reviews, managing audit evidence preparation, assessing audit preparedness.
- Establish project plans, gap analysis, milestone dates, and other significant aspects, and leadership updates.
- Maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, company strategies to assess impact, and consult with clients as subject matter expert.
- Conducts complex investigations, document findings, and ensure corrective actions are made.
- Interface with external clients, regulators, vendors, supplier; internal stakeholders, high level of management.
- Assists in the corporate implementation of new laws or regulations. Governance of existing laws and regulations adherence. Assists in training new hires, may deliver induction and advanced sessions on Ethics, Privacy and Compliance.
- Supports Carelon programs in India and the Philippines with potentially unconventional hours needed to for highly matrixed, international environment.
- Help execute the companys global ethics, compliance, and privacy program throughout local offices, India and the Philippines, to ensure that global policies, processes and tools are effectively communicated to the appropriate employee groups in the organization.
Qualification
- Requires minimum Bachelor s degree (BA/BS/BTech/LLB/ACS); MBA will be a plus
Experience
- Experience in implementing Ethics, Compliance, or Privacy programs, or legal experience; or any combination.
- 5-8 years of regulatory, ethics, compliance or privacy experience.
- Ability to work independently in complex scenarios and manage crisis.
- High levels of integrity and ability to maintain absolute confidentiality wherever required.
- Detailed knowledge of the U.S. Federal Sentencing Guidelines and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA.
- Good awareness of global Privacy and regulatory frameworks will be added advantage to include a strong understanding of US healthcare and data privacy laws and regulations
- Experience conducting end-to-end privacy investigation to assess contractual, local and international privacy obligations;
- Privacy program management and related project management experience, including projects with enterprise visibility and those involving digital technology.
Knowledge and Competencies
- Good communication skills and expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is essential.
- Good executive presence and cross cultural work experience is desirable for interaction with Senior Leadership and Global stakeholders/operations.
