The Ethical Sourcing Executive, Tea is responsible for coordinating the independent monitoring, timely progress and robust reporting of tea gardens social and environmental performances, acting as a liaison between the various regional team and reporting to the Ethical Sourcing Manager Raw Materials
Key Responsibilities. Develop a schedule for 3rd-party audits to cover all tea production sites on the Twinings approved garden list, based on the Assessment Cycle
Coordinate with relevant team members to understand current status of each site in relation to concern areas and progress with targets. Commission 3rd-party audits and maintain relationship with auditors to ensure reports and corrective action plans for non-conformances are clear and complete
Monitor progress on action plans and policy targets, and support team members to stay on track with regards to remediation activities
Build a knowledge base of trends in the tea sector and support the team with developing programmes to address these
Support the roll out of capacity building and training programme to tea gardens
Ensure the tea database is kept up to date
Analyse data and provide robust statistics reports for internal reporting and communication material
Support Regional Teams with report writing, including those for internal and external stakeholders
Support with general administrative tasks, including purchase orders, new supplier set up, stationery, booking travels and organising team meetings
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise. Previous experience in sustainability and M&E. Experience in managing complex data and writing concise reports. Fluent in both written and spoken English. Ability to establish and manage effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Comprehensive IT skills, including Microsoft Office suite, Power Bi and database management. Degree level in social or development studies, agriculture or relevant discipline. Understanding of international labour laws and internationally recognized ethical standards. Resourceful and solution-orientated mind-set. Ability to work alone, work under pressure and able to organise own work schedule.
