Job Description:
As an Estimator at Ecoville Ventures, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate cost estimates and bids for construction projects. You will work closely with the project management team to analyze project requirements, determine material and labor costs, and develop competitive pricing strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand project scope and requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other vendors to obtain quotes and pricing for project components.
- Analyze project risks and factors affecting costs, such as market trends, regulatory requirements, and scheduling constraints.
- Present cost estimates and bids to clients in a clear and professional manner.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and other project-related activities as needed.
- Coordinate with the project management team to ensure that estimates align with project budgets and timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of estimating activities, including cost data, bid documents, and correspondence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in the residential or commercial construction industry.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
