Position Overview
Looking for an Essbase application engineer with experience on ETL and Big Query to delivery solutions that extract data from upstream systems and develop load scripts to consume in Oracle Essbase backend application
What Youll Take On
- Will serve as a SME in maintaining and enhancing budgeting, forecasting & long-term planning systems.
- Support multiple Planning and Consolidation applications in Oracle Essbase (IaaS/PaaS) and SaaS EPM Cloud environments.
- Responsible for performance tuning and optimization of Planning and Consolidation applications.
- Ability to work both individually and within a team environment.
- Proven experience in providing system support and direct contact with users to solve issues with business applications.
- Conduct testing, including system, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- Skilled in Partitioning, automation, optimization and performance tuning of Essbase application data/metadata processing, upgrading, testing and migrating of cubes in different environment.
- Develop and maintain Block Storage Outline / Aggregate Storage Outline (BSO/ASO) cubes
- Create and maintain data forms, calculation scripts, MAXL automation, schedule jobs using batch scripts and business rules.
- Expertise in writing custom Essbase calculations scripts, MDX scripts, automated the Essbase Cubes using MaxL, Esscmds and Batch Scripts.
- Prepare test cases and effectively conduct unit testing, including interacting with business users to validate results.
- What You Bring
- 5+ years experience in Oracle 19C or 21C Iaas/Paas essbase applications.
- Additionally, 2+ years Oracle EPM Hyperion Planning design, development or administration a plus.
- Proficient in writing complex code in Calculation Scripts & Business Rules.
- Experience in components of EPBCS including metadata administration, outlines, dimensions, complex calculations, business rules, calculation scripts, creating snapshots, backups, data and artifact migrations, security setup and configuration, data forms, charts & graphs, menus, task lists, as part of application development and configuration.
- Experience on Metadata Upload Process through incremental files and creating automations to seamlessly load metadata.
- Ability to be proactive in providing alternatives based on best practices and application functionality.
- Financial process and functional knowledge preferred.
- Expert knowledge in analyzing business needs and developing solutions to support the business.
