Aquis Search is currently assisting our client, the VC arm of a global trading & investments firm, in their search for an Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Analyst based in Mumbai. This pivotal role focuses on late-stage investments and offers a unique opportunity to shape a key growth vertical for the firm in India.
Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for hands-on analysis of Red Herring Prospectuses, conducting due diligence, evaluating valuations, and advising on investment decisions. As the face of the firm's late-stage investments in India, you will work closely with a global team, while collaborating with the existing venture capital team in India. The role provides entrepreneurial freedom to establish and lead the firm's late-stage investment strategy in India, with the potential to build and manage a team as the vertical expands.
What you'll do:
- Performing due diligence including valuation analysis for primary, secondary, and other equity offerings with a primary focus on India equity.
- Build and maintain company financial models and perform sound valuation analysis based on Red Herring Prospectus (RHP) & Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DHRP) in a timely manner.
- Represent our client at meetings with corporate management teams and sell-side syndicate desks with a goal to developing relationships to secure desired allocations in the book building process.
- Interacting with sell-side sales and research contacts.
- Work with our client's India VC team to evaluate late-stage opportunities and build a pipeline of late-stage relationships that would be useful at the time of book building.
What we're looking for:
- 10-15 years of relevant experience analysing securities, with significant experience working on late stage/ pre-IPO capital markets transactions.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing Red Herring Prospectus (RHP) & Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DHRP) with the ability to obtain reliable valuation analysis to inform investment strategies.
- Strong numerical and modelling skills and well-versed in financial concepts such as financial statement analysis, accounting, valuation techniques and financial modelling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Existing relationships with IB/ECM desk are preferred.
- Effective communicator in Marathi/Hindi and English
- Self-motivated with a passion in equity research and a willingness to learn
- Intellectually curious and well networked
