Position Summary
The Epicor Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the Epicor ERP system (version 10.2) to improve business processes and drive operational efficiency. This role involves analyzing business requirements, implementing system enhancements, and providing technical support to ensure the effective use of the ERP system across various departments.
Key Responsibilities- System Analysis and Enhancement:
- Analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement within the Epicor ERP system.
- Gather and document business requirements, and translate them into functional specifications for system modifications or enhancements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design, test, and implement system changes, including customizations and integrations.
- Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide day-to-day support for Epicor ERP users, including troubleshooting issues, resolving system errors, and ensuring data integrity.
- Develop and maintain user guides, training materials, and documentation to facilitate effective use of the ERP system.
- Reporting and Data Analysis:
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards to support business decision-making, using Epicor's reporting tools and query functions.
- Analyze data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Project Management:
- Lead or participate in Epicor-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new feature implementations.
- Coordinate with IT and business teams to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
- Training and User Support:
- Conduct training sessions for end-users to enhance their understanding and effective use of Epicor ERP functionalities.
- Serve as a liaison between the business units and the IT department, ensuring alignment of system capabilities with business needs.
- Compliance and Best Practices:
- Ensure system configurations and processes comply with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with Epicor releases, updates, and industry trends to recommend improvements and maintain system effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on Epicor ERP version 10.2.
- Strong understanding of Epicor ERP modules, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Distribution.
- Proficiency in SQL, reporting tools, and data analysis techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex business processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools is a plus.
- Certification in Epicor ERP or related IT certifications are advantageous.
