As an Engineering Manager, you will join our Product Engineering team and work on the building blocks of everything Novo ships. Engineering Managers work closely with our product engineering, product management, and reliability teams to build really useful, composable, things. About the Role:
- Initiate and drive technical decisions on a multi-functional, Agile team alongside product management, product design, and engineering
- Work closely with with your tech lead and product manager to translate abstract business and product requirements into crisp technical specifications along with a delivery roadmap
- Helping teams norm, storm, and form
- Resolve blockers and help the team stay productive
- Take part in building the team and iterating on hiring processes
- Collaborating with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn our vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter
Must have Requirements for the Role
- 8+ years of experience in a highly technical role at hyper-growth startup or fast-paced company and 3+ years of experience leading a team
- In-depth knowledge and experience working with major cloud platform (e.g. AWS (must have experience))
- Experience leading product teams
- You are a good communicator who can explain technical concepts to product managers, designers, support and other engineers
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team environment and with geographically distributed teams
- In-depth knowledge of database and web security
- Demonstrable exposure working with management tools like JIRA.
- Ability to demonstrate experience in overseeing the quality of deliverables and effectively managing the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance
- Providing career paths and advice to aspiring engineerings
- AWS, S3, EKS, Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Understanding of Git as a version control system and experience of maintaining a codebase using code quality tools like SonarQube etc.
- Common monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.
