Engineering Manager

Job Description:

• Leadership and Project Management: Strong leadership, organizational planning, and project management skills, in addition to technical knowledge, to interact with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Automated Test Strategy: Experienced in crafting a team-wide automated test strategy across all layers of the application.
• Design and Build: Strong in designing and building automated test equipment.
• Hardware & Software Development: Expertise in hardware and software development of automated tester equipment for product testing techniques and procedures.
• Tester Development Planning: Study and plan for tester development considering growth and capacity requirements, leveraging supplier capabilities for on-time-to-market, cost.
• Technology Platform Management: Manage the team's robust technology platform, providing user experience validation of planned functionality.
• Test Planning and Execution: Develop test plans, test specifications, test cases, and test scripts.
• Project Delivery: Partner closely with delivery and project teams on assigned Operations Automation initiatives to ensure they are delivered on-time and on-budget, positively impacting operational costs, and driving benefits and improvements.
• Version Control and Coding Standards: Comply with established version control practices and coding standards.
• ICT Test Systems: Working knowledge of ICT test systems for PCBAs and integration of test systems into high-volume automated electronics assembly lines.
• Technical Documentation: Creating and maintaining technical documentation to ensure all features are understood and developed.
• Electronic Manufacturing Processes: Knowledgeable in electronic manufacturing processes.
• Collaboration: Partner with R&D, project managers, technical leads, and other Integrated Product Team (IPT) members to understand, develop, execute, and document test activities.
• Test Automation: Perform analysis and design, design reviews, and development for test automation.
• Bug Verification and Tracking: Expertise in bug verification, tracking, and fixing.
• Continuous Improvement: Engage in continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and cost-saving activities.
• Test Work Products: Create test-related work products (test cases/scripts, test datasets, test validation, and verification results) per testing standards and procedures.
• Automation Quality Improvement: Identify areas where automation can improve quality and develop the Operations Automation stakeholder strategy of becoming paperless.
• Tester Support: Provide breakdown support for testers.
• Component Engineering Support: Support component engineering and feasibility studies.
• QA Opportunities: Identify opportunities for QA to provide early design feedback alongside defect prevention and defect containment activities.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work productively and maintain effective relationships in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and build workflows in accordance with such a vision.
• Research and Recommendations: Conduct external and internal research to identify emerging trends/best practices and make recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of Operations Automation plans and initiatives.

• Supplier Development Optimization: Partner with supplier development teams to optimize the supply network.
• Compliance and Standards: Preferred knowledge of CE marking, RoHS, WEEE, and REACH.
• ISO Standards: Knowledgeable in ISO 9001, IS14000, and IS45000.

Technical Skills:

• LabVIEW GUI Development: Expert in LabVIEW GUI development, SCADA (MCWorks32/64), PLC & HMI applications.
• Tester Architecture Design: Design tester architecture and mechanical components using AutoCAD.
• Oracle Data Management: Proficient in Oracle data management.
• PCB Designing: Experience in PCB designing, with preferred experience on Cadence.
• Microcontroller Troubleshooting: Expertise in troubleshooting microcontroller-based PCBA.
• Quality and Process Improvement: Execute Poka-Yoke, DFMEA, PFMEA, Prototype, 5S, and Kaizen activities.
• GUI Development Tools: Hands-on experience with GUI development software tools like LabVIEW and SCADA.
• PLC and HMI Programming: Knowledgeable in PLC programming and HMI (GOT) applications programming, preferably Mitsubishi.
• Design Software: Proficient in using AutoCAD and Corel Draw.
• ERP Systems: Knowledgeable in core software applications (ERP), preferably SAP and Oracle.
• PCB Design Software: Preferred knowledge of PCB design software tool Cadence.
• Electronics and Measuring Equipment: Basic knowledge of electronics devices and measuring equipment.
• PCB Troubleshooting and Analysis: Skilled in PCB level troubleshooting and analysis.
• Advanced MS Excel and Word: Expert knowledge of advanced MS Excel and Word.
• Automation Techniques: Knowledgeable in pneumatics, hydraulics, and automation techniques.
