Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
- Experience in Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience with Large Language Model.

AIRX's mission is to develop and launch AI experiences across priority Platforms and Devices initiatives. AIRX partners closely with Platforms and Devices product teams, guiding them through every step of AI integration from ideation to deployment.
AIR On-Device Intelligence's mission is to research, build, and ship technology to enable OS-level Agentic Experiences with an emphasis on on-device, and enable the next gen Gemini-based user interaction.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, onboard, and manage a high-performing team of AI/ML software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
- Provide deep technical guidance and expertise in machine learning and AI development, staying abreast of the latest advancements in the field.
- Drive an engineering culture in the team, with a relentless focus on innovation, technical aptitude, and the delivery of AI solutions that align with AIR's goals.
- Oversee the development, training, evaluation, and deployment of models in production environments.
- Work closely with the Mountain View-based Engagements team, fostering trust and collaboration, to maximize project efficiency and impact.
