About Flock AI:

Flock is a venture-backed AI-powered visual commerce partner built specifically for the retail industry. Role:

As the Machine Learning Lead, you will lead a small, agile team of engineers dedicated to developing state-of-the-art generative AI applications. Your expertise in diffusion models and image processing will be instrumental in driving our projects from conception to deployment, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and optimize algorithms for generative AI, with a focus on diffusion models and advanced image processing techniques.

Implement Algorithms from research papers

Lead and mentor a team of computer vision engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, software engineers, and designers, to define project specifications and deliverables.

Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, computer vision, and machine learning, and incorporate these innovations into our projects.

Ensure the technical feasibility and scalability of computer vision solutions, while maintaining high standards of code quality and system security.

Contribute to the strategic direction of our AI research and development efforts, shaping the future of our technology stack and product offerings.

Project Focus:

1. Advancing Diffusion Generation Techniques:In this role, you will spearhead efforts to enhance our diffusion model capabilities, focusing on creating hyper-realistic, AI-generated images that push the boundaries of visual fidelity and speed. Our goal is to develop models that not only generate lifelike images but also do so in a way that is efficient and scalable across large datasets. You will tackle challenges such as reducing generation times, improving the resolution and detail of generated images, and ensuring consistency and accuracy in diverse lighting and environmental conditions.

2. Innovating 3D Modeling of Outfits:As the retail industry increasingly moves towards a personalized digital experience, there is a pressing need for high-quality 3D representations of clothing. You will lead projects aimed at developing advanced 3D modeling techniques that accurately capture the drape and flow of various fabrics. Your team will work on innovative algorithms that can automatically generate 3D models from 2D images, integrate tactile attributes, and simulate real-world physics of garments on virtual models.

3. Enhancing Texture Representation:Texture representation is crucial for the realistic visualization of garments in a virtual environment. You will be responsible for improving how our AI systems understand and render complex textures and fabric behaviors, such as sheen, transparency, and thickness. This involves deep research into texture mapping, material properties, and advanced lighting techniques to create as close to a tactile experience as possible through visual media.

4. Impact of Your Work:By improving these core areas, you will directly contribute to a more engaging and personalized shopping experience, enabling customers to see and virtually feel products before making a purchase. Your work will support the core of our strategy to revolutionize visual commerce by providing scalable, detailed, and immersive visual content that enhances customer decision-making and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a focus on computer vision, machine learning, or AI.

Extensive experience in computer vision, with a proven track record of leading projects to successful completion.

Deep understanding of diffusion models, image processing, and generative AI technologies such as Stable Diffusion.

Ability to translate research papers into usable code

Strong programming skills in Python and experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.

Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, with excellent communication and project management skills.

Creative problem-solver with a passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
