Position: Engineering Co-op
Primary Location:Toronto, ON
Schedule: Full time, remote with some travel required
Reports To: Maintenance Manager
Compensation: $25-32 per hour
The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
About This Role And About You
We are looking for a co-op student to joing our Corporate Engineering Team. Attention to detail and confidence in ability to gather data accurately is a must.
You must be a student currently enrolled in an Engineering program.
Duration: 4 or 8 month terms available. Priority will be given to students available for longer terms.
Responsibilities
- Understanding, upholding, demonstrating, and improving the Chemtrade safety culture
- Eagerness and willingness to learn
- Working side by side with our engineering team and plant employees and other contractors to collect data
- Ability to read Piping and Instrument Diagrams, update diagrams as needed and compile equipment lists
- Ability to take direction and not afraid to ask questions
- Ability to work independently
Qualifications
Education: 1 st , 2 nd or 3rd Year Engineering Student
Technical Skills: Knowledgeable in Engineering principles.
- Valid drivers license
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer savvy, specifically Excel (filter, sort, review, edit, etc)
- The ability to collect and organize data from multiple sources
- P&ID understanding
- The ability to manipulate data with accuracy and focus
