Job Description

  • Evaluate supplied part data for tool design & manufacturing feasibility.
  • Analyze given part data and prepare APQP and liaise with project team to get customer approval.
  • Assist sales team in terms of finalizing tool cost by deriving tool layout, Shot size, Mold type & Feed system type.
  • Develop conceptual design & layout in alignment with budget for down level designers and drafts men.
  • Lead the design engineers & complete design activity in shorter lead time.
  • Organize and conduct tool design review with cross functional team of tool room and initiate tool manufacturing process.
  • Guide Tool designers and Draftsmen to convert the concept to complete tool design.
  • Review design deliverables like BOM & Drawing and control document issue.
  • Organize and conduct manufacturing review and initiate manufacturing activity.
  • Prepare and issue Steel Dimension Report to track and ensure all the specifications are met.
  • Prepare and maintain related documents.
