Summary
Position Summary
This position will be responsible for tool and fixture design. Create designs and drawings for tool & fixture in line with tool design standards and as per manufacturing feasibility. Closely work with Product design, Tool Room, Development and production team to meet the timelines. Closely work with internal and external key stakeholders, tools, and fixture suppliers on technical support for their activities.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Ensure Tool & Fixture design requirements are understood, planned and managed for press shop dies, PDC tools and for SPM machine fixtures and plan design and drafting activities by ensuring on time completion as agreed.
- Hands on experience of working with Auto CAD, 3D software of Solid works.
- Knowledge of press tool, PDC die & fixture manufacturing.
- Revisit, Modify and revise existing designs to meet heightened customer expectations.
- Proactively participate in VAVE exercise and provide support as required.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal customers.
- Adopt and implement modern Tool design technology to enhance tool and fixture performance.
Skills & Abilities Required :
- Solid Works / Auto CAD
- Knowledge of Sheet Metal Press tools, Pressure Die Casting dies and SPM machine Fixtures.
- Knowledge of Geometrical Dimensions and Tolerances.
- Analytical skills, Post Design and tool manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Material like of CRCA, ZINC, BRASS, SS and Aluminum etc.
- An Ability to connect on technical aspects with CFT's
- Good relationship building, verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical skill Post tool development and parts production handover
Education Qualification & Experience required :
- Graduate in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Tool and Die Making with minimum 2 to 3 Years of experience in an Automotive/Architectural hardware industry.
