Engineer Static

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Engineering documents review and finalization related to Mechanical static.

Assigning tasks to the team, providing supervision and technical expertise to ensure delivery against time and quality constraints.

To provide assurance that all aspects engineering within the discipline have been carried to an acceptable standard

To liaise with other engineering disciplines to ensure best practice is applied to the engineering of project and to ensure compliance to project specifications and standards.

Review and approval of designs and check / approval of engineering deliverables.

Production of enquiry documentation for plant and equipment including equipment datasheets, specifications and requisitions

Develop cost estimates, evaluate equipment, review bids, perform economic analysis, and make recommendations on selection of equipment

Safety first mind set. Identification of risks in the workplace, site and design work being undertaken. Considering the environmental, commercial, safety and operational aspects of design.

Managing change and identifying, formalizing and notifying relevant parties of changes in the project.

Thinking creatively and logically to resolve design and execution problems.

Communicating and liaising with subcontractors, vendors and clients

Participates in contract tender evaluations & vendor negotiations to review technical qualifications (experience, personnel, equipment, etc.) for executing the scope of work.

Responsible for making the technical deliverables related to Static mechanical engineering.

Responsible for the mechanical technical deliverables within a multi-disciplinary project team.

Provide start-up and commissioning support for mechanical equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

08 + years experienced Mechanical Engineer operating company environment Good knowledge of Static equipment's / Ammonia storage / High pressure columns & vessels etc in the oil and gas / Fertiliser / Process industry.

Good knowledge of large volume storage tanks

Good knowledge of the design of pressure vessels

Good knowledge of the design of heat exchangers

Experience of static equipment testing

Knowledge of design codes and standards,

Experience of performance testing of large machinery

Working knowledge of corrosion and degradation mechanisms and able to select materials of construction for equipment in oil, gas and refinery service

Experienced in the management of suppliers including; inspection and test plans, quality plans, order close out, suppliers document reviews
